Auctions are currently in progress and as on April 24, 2017 around 15 million kg has been marketed at an average price of US$ 2.27 per kg.

The Tobacco Board has increased the crop size for Andhra Pradesh from 120 million kgs in 2016 to 130 million kgs for the 2017 crop.

Production - 95 Million Kg

Auctions for the 2016 crop ended on 20th March, 2017. A total quantity of 98.72 million Kgs was marketed at an average price of US$ 2.07 per kg.

The Tobacco Board has fixed the 2017 crop size for Karnataka at 99 million kgs.
